  • Within this successful identity is Tech Isle the Adirondack Tri-Lakes region that is becoming a world-renowned location for environmental science and biological science ventures.
     

  • Trudeau Institute of Health funded research center (an entity dedicated to  understanding the immune system for the purpose of preventing and treating human disease) offers world class research facilities and highly  trained staff for pharmaceutical research and business ventures. They have announced plans for a world class technology transfer center.

  • Located in the foothills of the St. Lawrence River Valley and adjacent to the NAFTA Corridor, Franklin County is becoming an epicenter of alternative energy investments.

  • Within close proximity to the City and Port of Montreal, unquestionably the greatest metropolitan cultural center in North America. The available multi-model transportation facilities (air, rail, road, water) allow commodities and heavy components to ship effortlessly into and out of the region.
     

  • Existing alternative energy investments include Horizon Wind Power/EFP and Noble Power's 400+ megawatt wind-farms; planned investments include Boralex's biomass cogeneration facility.

  • Located in the North Country and adjacent to the Capital Corridor (a regional promotion entity stretching along the US I-81 and CA 401 corridors from Ottawa, Canada to Washington, D.C.).

  • Located in the Adirondack Forest with abundant lumber resources.

    • Biomass (the basic building block of cellulose ethanol production) co-generation exits and is expanding in Franklin County. With this infrastructure in place, Franklin County is well placed for industry investment.
       

    • Networked to Canada's Beauce region - Franklin County's wood products industry is globally competitive.  This network includes the Northern Forest Initiative and Paul Smiths College and also includes the planned development of a networked incubator and industrial system for the wood products industry.
