Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas is seeking to expand its natural gas distribution into Franklin County. This project's nearly 50 miles of new pipeline includes 9 villages and towns along the transmission line, potentially serving nearly 3,900 residences and 556 commercial customers (including 4 New York State Department of Correctional Services facilities, 4 schools, and 2 industrial customers).
The County of Franklin IDA, in coordination with the St. Lawrence County IDA, are working together to provide Sales and Use Tax Exemptions and a PILOT (payments-in-lieu-of-taxes) for their respective counties.
