Greyhound offers access to over 2,400 location in North America. Full-service stations are located in Malone and Saranac Lake.

Trailways Scheduled Bus Service throughout New York State and to Montreal and Toronto.

Franklin County provides public transportation service within northern and southern Franklin County. This transportation service is available for shopping, employment, medical, educational and miscellaneous needs.

Water

Seaway System The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway System is a deep draft waterway extending 3,700 km (2,340 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean to the head of the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway portion of the System extends from Montreal to mid-Lake Erie.

Rail

RailAmtrak provides scheduled passenger service in the Northeast. Access is available from the nearby Adirondack Route which runs between Albany, NY and Montreal, QC.

Border Crossings

Two primary ports-of-entry serve the Northeastern portion of New York for vehicular traffic into Canada.
Blackpool Border Crossing - It connects Champlain, New York and St-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Quebec and is the terminus of Interstate 87 in the U.S. and Autoroute 15 in Canada. It is the major crossing on the Montreal-New York City corridor.
Seaway International Bridge – Also known as the Three Nations Crossing, this crossing of the St Lawrence River connects Cornwall, ON with Massena, NY.
