Project Highlights – 2008
IDA Assists
AseptPak, Inc. With Securing $2.66 Million In Public And Private
Financing
With the help of
$2.66M in public and private financing, AseptPak, Inc. will
begin Phase I of its operations. Located in Malone, AseptPak,
Inc. will produce medical devices and pharmaceutical packaging
products using a "blow-fill-seal" procedure and provide 65 well
paying manufacturing positions for its Malone operation.

NCCC and
Noble Power team up
Going Green by
providing green, Noble Power hopes to partner with North Country
Community College in bringing a two-year degree and training
program in Alternative Energy. The Connecticut based firm
provided a $50,000 development grant for the college to
structure the Alternative Energy program that will initially
focus on 'Wind Power generation', though in the future will
address hydro power generation and solar energy.

St. Lawrence Natural Gas
Pipeline Project (Announced)
In February 2008 the CFIDA, in
conjunction with the Franklin County Legislative Leadership,
moved one step closer to the delivery of a natural gas pipeline
project in Franklin County. The Legislative Leadership is to be
applauded for contributing $300,000 to support St. Lawrence
Natural Gas Pipeline
application process with PSC.

Project Highlights – 2007
Paul Smith’s College
In October 2007, the County of
CFIDA approved $6,600,000 in bonds to fund the
construction of two new dormitory buildings at Paul Smith’s
College. The ground breaking ceremonies were featured in the
local newspaper.

Noble Power
In November of 2007, an ongoing
effort by Noble Power to bring an alternative, environmentally
friendly power source resulted in success for Franklin
County. Now home to two “Wind Tower Parks” with yet more
planned, Franklin County is fast becoming home to alternative
energy products. The CFIDA managed the PILOT negotiations on
behalf of the project.

Franklin Snowmobilers
Loan
In December of 2007, the County of
Franklin IDA approved a request by Franklin Snowmobilers
Association for a loan to purchase new snowmobile trail
maintenance equipment. The Franklin Snowmobilers Association is a critical player in
maintaining and supporting the North Country’s winter
recreations and the CFIDA is proud to support
their efforts.
